Nelly to look after Wooley hot-seat

In a first for regional radio networking, Jonelle McKenzie will be the first female to host a morning talkback program on a network this morning from 9 when she substitutes for Charles Wooley for the next two weeks on the LocalWorks stream.
The popular McKenzie, who has hosted networked programs on the Macquarie Regional RadioWorks network under the guise of “Nelly”, will be more than able to hold her own on the program, former Newcastle announcer and the show’s producer Tony Briscoe claims.
Nelly has told radioinfo:
“This is without a doubt the most exciting challenge of my career, filling in for someone of whom I have such a high regard. They’re gigantic Blunnies to fill†Wooley says he was very selective as to who took over the show while he is on a break. “Do you think I’d let just anyone fill in on my radioshow…..not on your Nelly!â€
