- Seven Queensland’s Local News has finally gone widescreen, however it has not adopted the full graphics package used in the metropolitan markets. Caps available in the Seven News thread.
- And down south, Seven News Melbourne has adopted Tomorrow’s Weather Today, the 3D simulation of forecast weather conditions, which other cities have been using since the launch of the new weather system earlier this year.
- Free commuter newspaper MX has launched in Brisbane. Find out more, including how and where the paper is being distributed, in the MX thread.
- In the US, Katie Couric celebrates her 6 month anniversary as host of the CBS Evening News. Despite initial interest over her appointment, CBS remains third in the nightly news ratings.
