Soap star’s car crash drama escalates
Celebrities / Personalities
Home and Away actor Todd Lassance has become embroiled in more drama following a car crash he was involved in almost two weeks ago.
The Daily Telegraph is today reporting witnesses have come forward and challenged first reports Lassance was not speeding before his car crashed in the Sydney suburb of Forestville, on August 10, which left 80-year-old Margaret Holland in intensive care in hospital. Lassance’s car was totalled.
It was initially reported that Mrs Holland had made an improper right-hand turn which contributed to the collision. But Acting Inspector Gill Hough, of New South Wales Police, had a female driver, as well as with five others, had come forward to give statements, some of which were conflicting.
“Six witnesses have approached police regarding this matter but the investigation is still pending because we are waiting to interview one of the drivers, who we believe is still in hospital,” Inspector Gough told The Daily Telegraph.
One witness, who declined to be named, said she was driving parallel to Mrs Holland at the time of the accident and has told police she believes speed was a factor.
Lasance, who has not spoken publicly since the crash, again declined to comment.
