Ten the hot pick at KCA 2008

Ten may be suffering in total people but when it comes to younger viewers, the network is the clear favourite.
At yesterday’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Melbourne, it scooped the pool in almost all the television awards on offer.
Fittingly, network stalwart Natalie Bassingthwaighte was the evening’s host, joined by John Cena.
Celebrities ranging from Mike Goldman & Bree Amer to Shane Warne walked the orange carpet, in front of hundreds of screaming pre-teens.
Once the show had began, it was down to the business of sliming the winners.
Rove McManus was voted both Fave TV Star and Fave Aussie.
Fave Action Show went to Friday Night Live, while So You Think You Can Dance was Fave Reality Show.
Australian Idol was declared ‘So Hot Right Now’, and Video Hits picked up the gong for Fave Music Show.
Other major award winners included:
- Fave Drama Show: H20 Just Add Water
- Fave Comedy Show: Drake and Josh
- Fave Toon: SpongeBob SquarePants
- Fave Band: The Veronicas
Ricki-Lee, the third host on Australian Idol, was awarded Fave Singer.
